I had the opportunity to do my social hours in a public school. I could see that there was no material or resources to teach English. As we know it is necessary to have materials so that students can learn. But the school and the teacher did not have these materials. Teaching English was based only by providing some vocabulary, the teacher did not use any material or visual aid in order to enhance the students learning. Also we know that a variety of activities during  classes are really important because these activities can help the students to develop their skills, but the teacher could not develop these helpful activities, for example; she could not develop an activity  in which students could develop their listening skill because there were not a tape recorded.

Students from public schools are not able to develop their listening, speaking, writing reading skills because there are not any resources to develop activities in which they can put into practice what they learn. So I consider that this situation also makes classes boring because students are only writing on their notebooks. As we know students need activities so that they will not get bored, they need to have an active participation in the class.  This situation is in a certain way understandable because we know that the government does not give or provide the necessary tools to teach, but we as teacher can make the difference by using some material that is very helpful and very common to use. So is very important to have these tools in order to have an effective learning.  We as teacher can use our creativity in order to get materials to teach, for example; we can use recycle paper so that we can create something that can benefit the students learning. this situation affects the whole learning process because sometimes when they want to implement a new methodology it is necesary to have a variety of resources to develop all the activities involved in the methodology.With this opportunity that I had I could see the reality at the time to teach because is very different being at the classroom talking about all this things than being in a classroom teaching.
